Nuclein

Website for a Rapid PCR Diagnostics Company

Nuclein develops the DASH Rapid PCR System. We have been its web team since 2020, through two redesigns, customer training pages and HubSpot forms.

Overview

Nuclein is an Austin, Texas company behind the DASH® Rapid PCR System, which the company describes as a point-of-care diagnostic that detects the nucleic acids of target pathogens and delivers lab-quality results in 15 minutes.

We built Nuclein's first website in 2020 and have been its web team ever since, through two redesigns as the company moved from development toward selling its first test.

Nuclein: Overview

The Challenge

A diagnostics company's website has several audiences at once: clinicians who need to understand how the system works, lab and practice staff who need training materials, investors and partners, and job candidates. It also has to say only what the company is cleared to say, and that changes as regulatory milestones arrive.

Nuclein needed a site that explained a new technology clearly, could be updated quickly as the product and the company changed, and gave customers the materials they need after they buy.

What We Built

A first site, fast

In early 2020 we built the original site: the problem Nuclein solves, its solution, the team, an FAQ and a contact form. Client feedback came in as two dozen items and a round of mobile fixes, and we turned them around in about three days.

Keeping pace with the company

As Nuclein's plans changed, the site changed with them: new market timing, a News page, a home page demo video, new logo variants and graphics from our designer, and job postings.

The 2023 redesign

New designs for the home page and the technology page, a mobile design, and rebuilt Team, News and Contact pages. The contact form routes each topic to the right inbox. We launched the redesign in July 2023 with a full checklist of redirects, security and error pages, then worked through daily feedback rounds with Nuclein's team.

Materials for customers

A product information page with downloads and grouped training videos, and a training page with expandable sections and video pop-ups, so customers can find what they need to run a test.

A second redesign as the product came to market

In 2024 and 2025 we redesigned the home, technology and product pages and the navigation, rebuilt the DASH Rapid PCR System and About pages, and added standard terms. The product pages use Nuclein's own regulatory wording for its FDA-cleared, CLIA-waived test.

Connected to sales

Home page and contact forms now feed HubSpot. The site includes an accessibility toolbar and a cookie consent manager.

Monthly care

Monthly updates with site health reports, plugin security responses, database upgrade testing, a firewall, and redirects kept in step with new page names.
