Northeast OB/GYN Associates
Multilingual Website for an OB/GYN Practice
Northeast OB/GYN serves a diverse community in San Antonio. We rebuilt its site in thirteen languages, connected scheduling and the patient portal, and turned patient PDFs into pages.
Overview
Northeast OB/GYN Associates is a women's healthcare practice serving patients in and around San Antonio, Texas, from teens to women in menopause and beyond. Its website is often a patient's first contact with the practice, and for many patients English is not their first language.
We have supported the practice's website since 2019, rebuilt it in 2022 and 2023, and restructured it again in 2025.
The Challenge
The old site was hard for the practice to update and did not reflect how welcoming the practice is. Patients needed to find the right service, learn about the doctors, fill out the right forms and book an appointment, in the language they are most comfortable reading, and on a phone.
The practice also relied on outside systems for scheduling, messaging, the patient portal and billing, and the website had to hand patients off to each of them cleanly.
What We Built
A welcoming, patient-centered design
A style guide and templates designed around women of every age, with photography and illustration chosen to speak to teens, young women and mature patients. Built on WordPress with a visual page editor so staff can make their own updates.
Services explained in plain language
Gynecology pages covering birth control, infections, incontinence, menopause, bone density and pelvic support, and pregnancy pages covering obstetrics, infertility and what a laborist does.
Meet the doctors
A profile page for each physician, kept current as providers join the practice.
Patient resources as web pages, not PDFs
New patient information, forms and policies, an FAQ and pregnancy resources. In 2025 we converted around twenty patient PDFs into web pages that read well on a phone, including the new obstetric patient packet.
Available in thirteen languages
The site launched in English and Spanish. Translation now covers thirteen languages, from Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese to Arabic, Farsi, Hindi and Tagalog, and an accessibility toolbar lets patients adjust the site to their needs.
Connected to the practice's patient systems
Scheduling and messaging through Klara, a link to the patient portal, bill pay, and a Schedule Appointment button at the top of the home page.
A 2025 restructure
A mega menu for Gyn Care, Pregnancy, About Us and Patient Resources, so patients reach the right page in one step.
Security and support
After a security review in 2024 we added a web application firewall, and we handle updates, security alerts, provider changes and urgent content changes as they come in.
